In short
Fifty people win twelve months of Free and Sober Essentials, to keep or to give to one person. No purchase is necessary. It is open to people 18 and older in the eligible states listed in section 2. The only way to enter is to like and comment on our official giveaway post on Instagram or Facebook between September 29, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. ET and November 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET. One entry per person. Winners are drawn at random on or about November 16, 2026 and told privately. The full rules below control.

1. Sponsor
Free and Sober Inc., 89 Moody Road, Enfield, CT 06082 (“Sponsor”).
2. Who can enter
The Founding 50 Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open to legal residents of the following states and the District of Columbia who are 18 or older when they enter: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Residents of all other states are not eligible, including California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont and Washington, and residents of Puerto Rico and all other U.S. territories are not eligible.
The following people may not enter: Sponsor’s owners, employees and contractors; its clinical advisors; members of its ambassador program; employees of organizations that have an agreement with Sponsor; and the immediate family members (spouse or partner, parents, children and siblings) and household members of each of them.
3. Entry period
The Giveaway begins on September 29, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time and ends on November 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (the “Entry Period”). Sponsor’s computer clock is the official clock.
4. How to enter
There is one way to enter: like and comment. During the Entry Period, like an official Founding 50 Giveaway post published by @freeandsoberapp on Instagram or by the Free and Sober Page on Facebook, and leave a comment on that post. Any comment counts, and it doesn’t need to say anything about you.
Sharing a post, tagging anyone and following an account are not required and earn no entries. Limit: one entry per person, however many platforms, posts or accounts are used. Extra entries are void. Entries made with more than one account, with a false identity, or by automated means are void, and the person may be disqualified. Entries made any other way, including by direct message or email, are not accepted. Sponsor may hide or remove comments that break platform rules or share more than the entrant may intend. A comment Sponsor hides or removes to protect the entrant’s privacy still counts.
5. Drawing
On or about November 16, 2026, Sponsor will remove duplicate entries and then pick 50 potential winners and 20 alternates at random from all eligible entries received, using a random-number method whose result is saved and witnessed. If fewer than 50 eligible entries are received, every eligible entrant will be a potential winner and the remaining prizes will not be awarded. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
6. Notification
Sponsor will contact each potential winner privately, by direct message on the platform used to enter. A potential winner must reply within five (5) days and confirm their name, email address, state of residence and age. If a potential winner does not reply in time, is not eligible, or does not comply with these rules, the prize is forfeited and goes to the next alternate in order. Sponsor will never ask a winner for payment, bank or card details, or a password. Anyone who does is not Sponsor.
7. Prizes and gifts
There are fifty (50) prizes. Each prize is twelve (12) months of the Free and Sober Essentials plan at no charge on one Free and Sober account, with the same features and usage limits that apply to paying Essentials subscribers during those twelve months. When these rules are published, those limits include open conversation with the AI mentor of up to 10 messages a day, and no included voice or video minutes. Limits may change for all Essentials subscribers, and prize holders get the same change. The prize does not include voice or video minutes, trial credits, or any other plan, add-on or purchase; minutes can be bought separately at the regular price. The approximate retail value (ARV) of each prize is $155.88 (twelve months at the $12.99 monthly price), and the total ARV of all prizes is $7,794.
Claiming. After confirming eligibility under Section 6, each winner receives a one-time claim link when the Free and Sober app becomes available to the public. The twelve months begin on the day the prize is claimed through that link by a person who has created a Free and Sober account, and the prize must be claimed within ninety (90) days after the app becomes available to the public. An unclaimed prize is forfeited. When the twelve months end, the prize ends. No payment method is required, nothing renews automatically, and no one is charged.
Gifts. A winner may keep the prize or give it to one other person by forwarding the claim link, once and before it is claimed. The person who claims a gift must be 18 or older, must be a legal resident of a state where entrants are eligible under Section 2, and must not be a person who is excluded from entering under Section 2. A prize may not be sold, or exchanged for cash or another plan. Sponsor does not contact a gift recipient unless they claim the prize, and does not tell the winner whether or how a gift is used.
The prize ends early if Sponsor stops offering the app, or if the account is closed under Sponsor’s Terms of Use. If a prize cannot be provided as described, Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Use of the app requires a compatible device and is subject to Sponsor’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize, including a prize they give away.
8. About the app
Free and Sober is a self-help sobriety app. It is not treatment, therapy or a medical service, and it is not an emergency service. If you’re in danger, call 911, or call or text 988.
9. Publicity
Sponsor will name a winner publicly only with the winner’s written consent, and then only by first name and last initial or by a handle the winner chooses. Saying no does not affect the prize. Sponsor never names a gift recipient.
10. Winners list
For a list of winners (first name, last initial and state), email support@freeandsober.com with the subject “Founding 50 winners” within 60 days after the Entry Period ends.
11. Instagram, Facebook and Meta
This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook or Meta Platforms, Inc. By entering, each entrant fully releases Instagram, Facebook and Meta Platforms, Inc. from any and all liability in connection with this Giveaway. Questions about the Giveaway go to Sponsor, not to Instagram, Facebook or Meta.
12. General conditions
Sponsor may disqualify anyone who tampers with the Giveaway or breaks these rules. If fraud, a technical failure or any other cause beyond Sponsor’s control affects the Giveaway, Sponsor may cancel, suspend or change it. If the Giveaway is cancelled, Sponsor may award the prizes by random drawing among eligible entries received before cancellation. Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete or not received because of a platform outage, a network problem, or a platform’s removal of a post, comment or message.
13. Release and limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, by entering, each entrant releases Sponsor and its members, managers, employees and contractors from liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from taking part in the Giveaway or from accepting or using a prize.
14. Privacy
Sponsor uses the information collected in this Giveaway only to run it, deliver the prizes and keep the records the law requires, as described in the Privacy Policy. Entering does not sign anyone up for marketing emails. Likes and comments on Instagram and Facebook are visible to other people on those platforms, so entering this Giveaway is public. A gift recipient’s information is collected only when they claim the prize, and is used only to switch it on. Sponsor deletes entry data within 90 days after the prizes are delivered, except the winners list and records the law requires Sponsor to keep.
15. Governing law
These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut. Any dispute will be resolved only in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.
